Ric prides himself on his teaching and provides one to one professional music tuition either in your own home or in his home music studio (based in Bitterne (SO18 5QX), Southampton). Children and adults are both welcome from complete beginner (no experience in music), to the accomplished musician. Ric will cater his teaching for your needs so you learn your instrument quickly.

 

Lessons can be weekly or fortnightly or even completely ad hoc with different days and times each lesson to fit in with busy working or school patterns. Learn for fun or work towards grades with ABRSM & Trinity Schools of Music. Among his offers to new students Ric offers a free 30 minute taster session, where you can meet him, chat about your requirements and questions and try your dream instrument.

Holds an honours music degree (specialising in performance and composition whilst also studying conducting and improvisation). Ric holds grades in various instruments including grade 8 in saxophone and grade 8 in jazz flute, so lessons are available in all genres from Classical to Jazz and Blues, to Irish and Japanese world music.
